On Tuesday, April 21, the Thelton E. Henderson Center for Social Justice at UC Berkeley School of Law hosted a screening of the award-winning documentary, Close to Home.
i4Y Faculty Co-Director Coco Auerswald moderated a powerful panel discussion and audience Q&A featuring youth advocates and local leaders, including La’Toya Cooper and Travis Crown of LA Emissary; Joanne Karchmer, Chief Impact Officer at All Home; Lindsay Haddix, Executive Director of East Bay Housing Organizations; and Ronald (Ronnie) Calderon, a local youth advocate and speaker.
This event brought together advocates, practitioners, and community members for a timely dialogue on: What happens when youth with lived experience of homelessness youth have the POWER to fund change that impacts their community?
