UC Berkeley’s Youth and Allies Against Homelessness (YAAH) Lab will host a webinar on May 11th at 11 AM to discuss key findings from two reports, co-sponsored by the California Coalition for Youth and the California Homeless Youth Project. The webinar will be led by i4Y Co-Director Dr. Coco Auerswald and Dr. Laura Petry of the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and will highlight the impact of dedicated funding for vulnerable young people across the state.
The YAAH Lab has released executive summaries for California’s Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) Youth Set-Aside Funding Year 1 and Year 2 Reports. The reports dig into the impact of the Youth Set-Aside within the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) Program. Key findings show that HHAP grantees exceeded statewide Youth Set-Aside minimums, obligated more than $171.9M toward youth-focused projects, and helped fill critical service gaps for underserved young people, including LGBTQ+ youth, pregnant and parenting youth, and Black youth.
