Two i4Y teams were selected to be among the 15 three-person teams supported by the Interdisciplinary Research Leaders program from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Kris Madsen, an affiliate of i4Y, Regina Jackson (East Oakland Youth Development Center) and Phillip W. Graham (RTI International) will study the impact of summer jobs for urban youth on upstream drivers of youth violence.  i4Y co-director Coco Auerswald, i4Y affiliate Marguerita Lightfoot (UCSF), along with Larkin Street Youth Services’ ED Sherilyn Adams, will examine ways to break the cycle between youth violence, homelessness and the criminal justice system in San Francisco.
